A home for many of us. Travelers, immigrants, expats, locals who come together in a small island called Aotearoa.

Never will I think to start my NZ story with a tribute to the recent Christchurch mass shooting attack. It's definitely the darkest day for most of us who called New Zealand home or to people whom have travelled in this country before...
“Spread Love not hate. This is not the NZ we know, unfortunately it has become a sacrifice of racism which will leave a footprint in the History.”
It was just after lunch on the 15th March'19 when 1 of our colleagues exclaimed "WTF, there's mass shooting at Christchurch now!" Updates from the web kept pouring in and we were still confused what the heck was happening. While I kept myself updated on the daily news...
Pure New Zealand
Today our GM called for a quick Connect meeting to debrief on this incident and if anyone needs help emotionally. Most of us are immigrants standing around in the room. Emotions filled the air. Guess the support we can give to the victims (and their families) from Auckland support office are donation and care for people around us. What I've learnt is that we cannot take things for granted.
Years ago, I travelled to New Zealand with a few friends on a 13 days road trip. This country has so much to give- Kindness, Friendliness, Purity. Everyone will greet you during your hiking trip in the wild.
2 years after the holiday, I decided to look for job in the country in order for me to enjoy this beautiful country even longer. Moved over and started a new experience. Kiwis never fail to lend their helping hands when you are in trouble. They can be a reserve bunch but will open up to help if situation requires.
Once I was on my way to meet a mate, an Asian man was seen pushing his car alone. It looks like his car broke down and needed to stop somewhere safe. Upon seeing that, a couple of Kiwis who were standing nearby rushed towards him and helped push his car. "I need to help that dude..." So many times, you can see kind acts being performed.
While the whole country continues to mourn, what's done cannot be undone. We can only continue to show kindness by spreading love and making the world a better place to live. If you could do a little bit for them, please donate.
Thank you
With Love,
