How much do you remember of your childhood? Has it been captured in some ways where you can just have flashbacks?
It was a winter trip down to the South Island, New Zealand. Closed to zero degrees, we went into this café at Arrowtown. After having a cup of tea, I decided to head out and walked around in the cold while my mates continued in the warm café.
“Expect the unexpected. Ever ready for your next shot and always review back your 1st shot to make sure settings are correct.”
Took some beautiful close up Pine trees and frosty fallen leaves (which I will cover in the New Zealand blog), roamed around the small Gold mining area where the first Chinese settlement arrived. Probably it's time to head back to the café and meet up with my mates to continue our journey back to Queenstown. (#vacation #winter #Arrowtown #Newzealand #freezingcold)
Engaging with kids
As I was about to open the café door, I stepped backwards as this adorable kid caught my attention through the window. She was smiling at me with her cute yellowish beanie. Without much hesitation, I switched on my camera and started playing peek-a-boo with her while feeling the cold for another few minutes. Snapped a few pieces before her playmate arrived. After reviewing the photos, I realized that most of the photos were underexposed. Biggest mistake is not taking a few seconds to check my image! Managed to savage a couple by using the Picasa 3 program at my desktop. For quick and easy usage, I chose a cooler tone and brighten up the lighting, lastly increasing the highlights.
